Chartered accountants · Tax advisory · Sydney

The technical work done properly. The small things done on time.

TAV & Partners advises Australian businesses, private and high-net-worth clients and family groups, and international businesses operating or establishing themselves in Australia.

Relationships measured in years, not engagements.

We value the relationships we build with our clients. As those relationships develop, so does our understanding of their history, their priorities and what matters most to them.

That understanding allows us to provide more relevant advice, respond with greater context and take genuine ownership of the work entrusted to us. Clients can rely on us for clear guidance, consistent follow-through and support when it matters.

More about TAV & Partners

Who we act for

Four kinds of client, one standard of work.

Businesses

Australian small and medium businesses

Private companies and their owners, from established operations through to businesses growing quickly enough that the original structure is starting to strain.

Private clients

Private and high-net-worth individuals

Clients whose affairs span several entities and asset classes, where the tax position of a decision is rarely confined to one return.

Family groups

Family groups and their structures

Trusts, companies, superannuation and directly held investments that interact with each other — and that need to keep working as the next generation becomes involved. For families wanting a single point of coordination, we provide family office support.

International

International businesses in Australia

Overseas businesses establishing themselves here or already operating, who need an Australian accounting and tax function that reports back in a form head office can use.

How we work

Service is not only the advice.

Technical capability is the baseline — it is what a client is entitled to assume. What clients actually experience week to week is whether their accountant replies, whether documents arrive when they were promised, and whether something is quietly sitting unresolved. We treat that as part of the professional work rather than as administration around it.

Responsiveness

Questions get answered while they still matter.

A tax question usually has a window. We would rather take the call before a transaction is signed than review it afterwards.

Documentation

Documents are issued promptly, not eventually.

Financial statements, returns, minutes and correspondence are prepared and sent when they are due, without the client having to chase them.

Follow-through

Outstanding matters are tracked until they are closed.

Anything left open — a lodgement, a query with the ATO, a document awaiting signature — stays on our list rather than the client's.

Visibility

You know where a matter stands without having to ask.

Where something is progressing slowly, or waiting on a third party, we would rather tell you than leave you to wonder.
